Well today I am going back the jeweler's to pick up the ring i purchased on tuesday, a beautifully made solitare. She has already tried this ring on (well an identical one, i just had them make a new one so she wouldn't have the display model) but she has absolutley no clue that I had been saving up money and had the means to purchase it 🙂 So this saturday I'm going to take her for a walk in my backyard (11 acres of woods) and we're just going to happen to stumble across a tree that has our initials carved in it. She has asked me on multiple occasions if we could engrave our names, but we never had a knife to do this. So yesterday I went out there and carved "HK + JK 11-1-03" and since her current initials are HB...it should give her a bit of a hint. I'll update you as the story unfolds 🙂 (w/ pics of course)

heh, ya i did photoshop it a tiny bit...just blurred out everything but here and turned on the grayscale.
