I have a 6x9 speaker in the rear deck of my car. there are 2 bolts that go down through the deck into my trunk, with nuts attached to them to hold the speaker in place. There were 4, but 2 of them came out easy. These last two...not so much. They are completely stripped, and I'm having a hell of a time figuring out how the F to get these nuts off. Any ideas? I hacksawed most of the bolt off, up to where the nuts are, but that didn't really help. I'm trying to hacksaw the nuts, but whatever the fuck the nuts are made out of it's taking forever to cut into them. Any other ideas? My dad mentioned something about nutcrackers, I guess mechanics (like him) use them, but I have no idea where to find them

You have to saw between the deck and the nut. Or between the head of the bolt and the speaker.

Try a little downward pressure on the nut as you turn the bolt.

You may force it to engage fresh threads.

Good luck.

If it was me, I would look at where the bolts are and see if I could get a grinder in there and just grind them off. You can pick a cheap grinder up almost anywhere. If the bolts aren't very big and I had a drimmel tool I might try that too.
