Women use 2lb dumbbells frequently. Especially when walking or doing aerobic workouts. They aren't looking to buff up their muscles. Just add a little resistance in their workout.

This is actually one of the most useful Wii accessories I've seen. Most of them are just silly "fluff" and some are downright idiotic. But weight resistance is a good idea, particularly for the aerobic exercises in the Wii Fit program.

And yes, 2lb and 5lb weights are perfectly adequate to add weight and resistance for the walking/step exercises.

I have to wonder how much the actual product will cost, though, since they want $5 (non-refundable) just to reserve a spot on the preorder list.

Heh.. I was actually coming up with a design for something like this last week. Seemed like a natural fit for Wii Fit. Glad to see someone who knows what they're doing more than I do is actually coming out with something like this.

but the fit doesn't require you to hold two wiimotes...actually, none of the games use 2 wiimotes. wiifit boxing uses a wiimote with a nunchuk.

True. If you want the extra weight resistance, just get a pair of cheap wrist/ankle weights, but make sure they are securely attached if you're going to be doing any of the "energetic" movements like boxing.

None of the games? Out of Wii Fit perhaps...

But ever heard of We Cheer? This combined with the remotes makes for an effective shoulder/arm workout in a sense.

It is a shame that this game is passed due to a bit of closed minded professional reviews.
