If you watched the Leno video, several complex items were made fully assembled and working, complete with meshing gears...amazing!

If you watched the Leno video, several complex items were made fully assembled and working, complete with meshing gears...amazing!
On that machine, there was a water soluble material they put in between the parts so it would hold its shape. You would rinse the final product in water and the material would wash away leaving you with pre-assembled parts. For example, they made a working adjustable wrench that was pre-assembled. .
