Well, i've been considering this for some time, and have finally got round to doing it! 🙂

I am offering a yourname@teamanandtech.d2g.com email address, absolutely free of charge! 🙂

It's going to be hosted on my computer and own internet connection for free use to all TeAm members 🙂

You can sign up and also get your webmail service from the following link: http://teamanandtech.d2g.com:3000

Once you have signed up, you may use any standard POP3/SMTP client (such as Outlook/Outlook Express etc), with the following settings:

POP3/IMAP and also SMTP server address of: teamanandtech.d2g.com

and the same username/password that you signed up with 🙂


I am not expecting everyone (or in fact anyone!) to use this, but i'm offering it for your use, as a way of giving something back to the TeAm 🙂


Once i transfer some money to my bank account with the debit card, i will see about buying a domain, probably something along the same lines as the above address, and once that is bought, it shall be in use immediately as the bit after the @. The current address will still fully function, so you have a choice of which to use 🙂 Alternatively i might be getting @mail.teamanandtech.com, waiting on decision 🙂

I am the admin of the mail server for teamanandtech.com. There was at some point a discussion (two years ago or so) of what teamanandtech.com would all do, and I believe one of those was email addresses @teamanandtech.com. Nothing ever came of it though.

I'd be willing to setup either email forwarding (easy) or a POP account (no SMTP). I'd even consider going as far as enabling a Horde/IMP webmail system if there was a lot of interest.

Sounds like a pretty cool idea. Might also be something that would generate some more interest in the DC TeAms! 😀

I think W2k Server is not liking only 128mb RAM, as every time i try to do something on it it just locks up and then i need to reset it!

Tho i am having a major reworking of RAM, CD drives and GFX cards tomorrow when i get new 512mb RAM, CDRW drive and GeForce 4 Ti4200 128mb for my computer, so the server will get an extra 128 to make 256mb 😀

I am going to just let it be for now!
