I don't recommend tthis printer. First off, it goes through ink pretty fast. Second, the photo quality output isn't near as good as something like the Epson 580 or better. I had more trouble with the Canon clogging print heads.

Canon printers suck . . . the black ink cartridge just quits working after a while . . . I'm sure if you search around, you'll find many people having this problem. HP Deskjet series is hard to beat in terms of most for your money . . . IMHO.

The ink cartridges run out fast because they're tiny. The black costs about $8 retail and the color $21. Both the cartridges fit into a "container" attached to the print heads. The cost for replacing the print heads (black & color cart. included) is about $50. This printer is not for printing photos. It's only good for people who don't need to print much or need to print graphics.

What I meant was that the literally just quit working . . . even though they still have ink in them. The printer itself is at fault . . . cuz if you put a new cartridge in, it still has the same problem . . .
