Go to where my sig is:

Creatine is FINE to take btw.

Eat lots. You have to eat A LOT to get big. Eat everything in site. It will take a good 5years or so or more depending on your age and how much you weigh and what shape you are in currentlyl.

Train hard. Train smart. Train about 5x a week or so. Work out in the 10-12rep range which encourages hypertrophy. This means that you will gain size and be big basically.

You must SQUAT SQUAT SQUAT and do leg work.

If you ignore doing leg work your testerone levels will not be high enough in *general* to get big.

Getting *ripped* is different to getting big. Small guys can get ripped by doing cardio and lowering the bod fat %. But small guys will find it harder to get big then naturally big guys will.

So what do you want to do? Get *ripped* as in LEAN and have a 6 pack? Or just be big and muscely?

Most people bulk and get big then cut later and look lean. The body builders you see or people on mags you see mostly do steriods and numerous drugs to get *that* cut.

Try this if you want:

Train hard for 2 weeks and drink as little amount of water as you can. SERIOUSLY you will feel like SH!T but ANY MONEY you will look CUT.

Try Mag-10... legal and safe. What you must also do is change your diet. Are you eating enough protien? And how about your workout regime? Are you actually working out or just dicking around in the gym jumping on any machine?

Judging based off what you're saying and the fact that you're asking an internet message forum how to get "a lot bigger" and "what supplements to take", I'd suggest training right and eating right. If you don't want to get bigger off of Creatine of all things, how the hell do you expect to get bigger off anything else? I'm assuming you're avoiding Creatine because it's "unsafe" or some BS like that.

Oh, and "Get ripped" means to shed body fat, not get bigger

Its true.

Doing squats and other stressful leg training helps your body to create more testerone which is needed in muscle development. Simply put if you don't squat you can only go so big. If you squat your legs get big and your body will start to thicken out more and faster. If you only focus on upper body work your legs stay the same.

If you squat you work out the BIGGEST MUSCLE GROUPS IN YOUR BODY. legs + glutes.

If you don't do that you are not going to get that big............

You ever heard of a pro body builder ignore leg stuff and squats? No. Even though they do a lot of steriods and other stuff they will still have to do leg work.

are there any alternatives to squats/deadlifts? i would do them, but im always nervous im not doing them correctly and im going to damage my lower back.

so you're saying if you want to get ripped/toned, but not necessarily really big, then all you have to do is have a moderate amount of muscle and drop the fat? or would you have to "shape" your muscles and do high reps with light weights?

Yes and no...you are doing Squats but the machine is helping keep your balance. It would be better to use free weights.

Getting big is getting big, first you need to have muscles before you can shape and get cut up. Most pro bodybuilders lift heavy in the off season for 8 months and then go on an extreme diet for 4 months or so to get the definition for the contests. Truthfully the contest for bodybuilders is actually damaging to there health cause the put there bodies through such stress eating and drinking such little amounts of food and water and yet lifing weights.

Very correct.

Contest bodybuilders are more often then not on steriods also and other drugs. You can add a lot of mass in a short time frame but thta mass you will lose quiet a bit off also when you come off your *cycle*.

Get some what *big ish* then cut by doing cardio and refinine your diet and not eating lots of food. Keep a min of 2500calories or less if you can manage it on a daily basis. 6-8 weeks later and you will look cut.

V00DOO as long as you go deep and work hard you can get the same sort of results as a squat if you are really bothered by the squat motion. Just work hard and get the weights up. Make sure you go to more then half way though. Remember that you can lift a lot of weight on the leg press/ smith machines but you will more then likely not squat more then 100kg-130kg in real squat. Your back will also not be use to it.
