get rid of political ads?

Just wondering why I am seeing ads about "AF - Why Hillary will fail. Forget Benghazi. This event is set to destroy Hillary's presidency." in the adbox under threads.

Not asking for ads against Trump, just suggesting that we get rid of political ads altogether.

I've yet to see anything of the sort, but if it's there, we'll get it removed. If you come across the ad again, please grab a screenshot of it and include the page URL it was seen at and the current time/date.

I'm looking at one right now on this page as I'm typing.

The best way to see the Political Ads pop up is to click on some of the P&N forum threads. Really shows how the ad trackers work.

Here's one I got soon after disabling Adblock and clicking in P&N forum

I have to apologize here; it seems I jumped the gun in saying that we'd remove it. As it turns out, there is nothing "wrong" with the ad, in technical terms. While some may find it distasteful and irrelevant, political ads are a form of political speech, which falls under free speech, and are allowed under standard ad policies.

Both sides are represented in the ads but, most likely as a result of ad targeting, most of you are being served ads that take shots at Hillary. I'd wager that those of you seeing them probably lean towards the left, while the right-leaning members are seeing ads against Trump.

Adblock Plus and add Adblock Pop-up addon. There's also uBlock Origin if you want to wear more than one condom while you surf the internet. :mask:
