Get rid of bugs on ground floor apartment

I live in the only ground floor apartment in this complex, and if I leave the door open for a minute, a spider gets in. Even if I leave the door closed for the day I still see bugs around...I'm not sure where they're coming from. I don't wanna call an exterminator because I don't think the problem is that bad. Is there a quick fix to getting rid of these bugs or should I call the exterminator tomorrow?

step on them and leave the dead bug bodies lying around the room...the others will get the message

just get some ant cups. and things like that. takes care of them

[thread hijack]As a kid, in my basement, I used to build things using a hot glue gun...whenever I saw a bug...BAM...he got encased in hot glue. It didn't keep the bugs away, but it sure was fun, and it looked cool too.[/thread hijack]
