Hi... I don't know if this is allowed here.
Anyhow I just bought an Athlon XP 1600+ which I was hoping I could unlock.
In reality I have unlocked about 50+ Tbird CPU's but I really really can't get this Athlon XP 1600+ unlocked. Not UNLOCKED specifically, but since i'm using an ECS K7S5A board, I need the CPU to be at 12-12.5x multiplier (fixed) so that I can oc this chip to about 1900+ levels.
Problem is... I've tried about 3-4 nights now... from 5B pencils to 2B pencils.. correction pen. white out. super glue etc.
The original multiplier is 10.5x
Now with my mods, I can ONLY acheive 7.5x 8.5x 9.5x..... meaning at best, I'm still down clocking.
I'm so frustrated now, that I am willing to pay up to $20 CDN for anyone in the Greater Vancouver Area (B.C, Canada ofcourse) for someone with enough skill/confidence to fix my muliplier to 12 or 12.5x
Call me an amateur, I don't know if it's just that I didn't purchase DEFROGGER kit to do this.. but with the success of so many people using WHiteout/2B pencil to fix a multiplier, I don't understand why it won't work for me.
Keep in mind that a few bridges are cut here and there (hey... it's experimentation.. a bad one persay).
Anyone can help me out?
I want to atleast have it back to 10.5 so that I can sell the damn thing. ERRR...
