I'm a video fan and often need to convert video format for editing or sharing. After trying a butt-load of video converters, I kept MacX Video Converter Pro V6.0.0 (got free from their previous giveaway campaign) on my Mac (Handbrake is popular but it's kinda buggy). Recently I got the developer's newsletter and knew that they made major update to MacX Video Converter Pro. Now the latest version 6.3.0 supports Intel QSV/Nvidia/AMD hardware acceleration and brings the strongest solution to process any video at super fast speed. Better yet, the latest version is available for free by courtesy of their Easter giveaway.

Below is my test result FYI:
-convert 4K MKV (AVC) video (2.5GB, 22m33s, 3840*2160) to MP4 (H.264)
The old version took about 20 min (56 fps)
Handbrake took 33 min 5 secs (18 fps)
The latest macx video converter pro only took about 4 min (150 fps) and the output quality is pretty good. That's really amazing!
-System specs:
iMac 2013
Processor 3.2GHz Intel Core i5
Memory 16G 1600 MHz
Graphics NVIDIA GeForce GT755M 1GB
