I was thinking of finally getting a graphics card for the wifes i5 haswell. Since I built it she has been using the built in intel graphics and has been happy with it. All she plays is warcraft for games. Would a 750ti make a wow that looks fantastic difference or would I be better of buying her £100 worth of pagan jewellry and n8k naks for X-mas.

What resolution does she plays at? Anything 750ti or better will be a decent upgrade for eye candy specially

If she's happy with it, there's your answer.

Loaded question if you ask me. My girlfriend was "happy" with her GTX 680 running ArcheAge @1080 High settings 30-40FPS. It wasn't until I gave her my GTX 780 Lightning OC'd that she realized how bad her previous setup was. Now, she's rocking 2560x1080 Ultra settings 55-60 FPS and isn't looking back.

EDIT: @OP

Unless money is super strict, go for both :D. I get my partner jewelry but she only uses it for evenings out. So I feel it goes mostly unused (since she has a freaking nice collection growing). But her GPU upgrade and monitor upgrade she uses every day.

I dont know exactly but I would guess the resolution at least 1280X1024. She uses a 22" Monitor. (Edge10 Ef220a LCD)

I'd probably go with a 950/960 to get the full DX12 support.

The 960 is not in the price range. The 950 is £40 more than the 750ti which is around £92. Is it worth a third more?

But I dont think she will appreciate the visuals until she sees it.

Lol that post is what I think she will realise. If I gave her an upgrade she would love it. She wont get both as the kids get priority so if there is a spare £100 it goes on them, not that they will appreciate it.

750 Ti would be a lot smoother in WoW than integrated. It would be immediately noticeable when the action gets heavy.
