I know, I know.. I've been posting a lot of posts about mp3 players. I do apologize but money has been tight so I'm laboring over this decision...

My archos gMini 400 recently broke and I contacted archos about a repair. I just received word that it would be $85 plus shipping. So let's say that $100, all said and done. Turn around time would be 2 to 4 weeks.

A new iPod would be $299. Turn around time is.. Well, me going to the apple store and buying one...

A third option is selling the broken player on ebay, mentioning that it could be fixed for $85...

What should I do, what should i do?!!?

Thanks!

Well if you can fix the thing for $85, and with shipping the whole thing would set you back $100, why would you spend and extra $200 just to get a brand new MP3 player? Just keep the Archos one and save yourself $200.

Sell the Archos on Ebay, then get a different MP3 player (iPod if you insist, but personally I hate them) on CRAIGSLIST. Why pay full price?

If you liked the ARchos and it did everything you wanted it to do and you were happy with it then I would say it's worth fixing. If there's something that you didn't like about it and you prefer the ipod instead then don't get it fixed and get the ipod.
