i have this old screenname for AIM that i've signed onto every now and again. i know its still active. the problem is that the pasword was saved on my old computer and my i can't log onto this SN from my new computer cause i can't remember the password!! also the email address i used to sign up is no longer active so i can't even get my password emailed to me.
anybody know of any programs that will try numerous passwords? i know for lost passwords in zip files there is a program that goes through every letter/ number combination to break the password of the archive. is there something simliar for aim? i've already tried the password revealer thing in my old computer but the passwords are now encrypted... plus i don't have the old computer any more.
help? this isn't for illegal purposes! its for my own screenname and i really don't wanna lose it!

Thanks! 🙂

Seriously, just make a new screen name.

thats probably my last resort, was hoping someone out there in anandtech would be able to help
:-(

Get one of those "reveal contents of password boxes" programs. They exist. Basically, you run AIM, and run the unhider on the login screen, and it will show you the password unless AIM is coded VERY carefully (heh, yea right 😉).
