I just installed this a couple of hours ago on my BFG 7800GT and can't believe the difference it made. It's much quieter than the old leaf blower and my temps are great. 46 to 41 C on idle (not great), but 72 to 57 under load. I was hoping for a 10 deg drop, but 15?! My AS5 hasn't even sat very long so I may still get another degree or two drop in the next couple of days. The only difficulty I had installing it was getting the power connect disconnected from the old one. Other than that it was a breeze. If you're on the fence w/ this, get it!

7800GT fan is a leafblower? Hear my leaf blower 5000, the X1800XT stock cooler.

Is there a big difference between the 700 or 900? I don't like how 900 has the LEDs, useless waste of electricity if you'll ask me, is there a cooling performance difference?

Both the VF-700 and 900 come in LED flavors; I personally think LEDs are silly.

Both will sound about the same but the 900 easily has the performance edge. The 1800XT is a pretty toasty card so I would suggest go the 900 route.
