I've put on Fedora Core 4 x86_64, and I can't get the 1280x768 native resolution to work. It's on my laptop, and it looks really bad in 1024x768. How can I get my native? I've used the Livna repository & the ATI driver, but still havin problems. Help?

Change the LCD to Generic with your native res.

Then change the actual display res.

Restart X

use system-config-display as root and choose your monitor if it is listed or choose a generic monitor with your native resolution.

You sure about that... My options show from 640x480 - 1920x1200 with every possible res. inbetween...

100% positive. How can I get Fedora Core 4 i386 on my lappy? The main reason I'm tryin Linux is to try the new Novell Client for Linux, and it won't work on 64-bit, so I have to go 32. It won't recognize my VMware drive, so thoughts?

i386 Fedora will install on your laptop from the i386 installation CDs just like normal.

Also, shorten up your sig.
