Only $69.95! VortexValveNW.com

It appears to be a device installed in your air cleaner, designed to cause the intake air to swirl.
As an ex-ASE mechanic, let me be the first to call BS on this.

I'll take two! If I put two of them in-line, just think... 20 to 60% MPG savings!!

This will go nice with my electric supercharger!

Damn, I can't believe 'Two Guys Garage' is plugging that junk.
I heard it on a local car care radio show, that I had quite a bit of respect for.

Actually, they do... The combustion chamber (and intake runners, to some degree) are designed to get the air swirling.

And it only takes 5 minutes, 3 days a week! LOL, and that's why there is a market for these junk.

Yep. I understand you having to pay the bills, but at least be honest. I don't care if they say this show brought to by "shiit in a box" the MAKERS say it can add... But when the host of the show say they use it, that is the line for me.

As a auto-tech you don;t know how many times I have had to tell people, after they ask me if they should get it, about this type item or slick 50, the gas magnet, etc... The only thing I usually say that works is "if it worked HALF as good as they say, it would be on EVERY Chevy, Honda, GMC, Toyota, Ford, etc... made."

Not to dis-credit you, but have you personally tried it? My bro bought it for is 2002 Nissan Altima and it increased his millage from 22-24 to 28-30 city. It's not that huge but it's an increase. Same mph on the highway tho...

As a auto-tech, I can tell you it was NOT because of this item. Please tell me how you are able to extract more energy out of gas with this item? Of course if you can, better put it on paper for your Noble prize. ;)

But, but, but.... That infomercial showed them running a race car with NO OIL! Slick50 is the greatest thing evar!!! ;)

I remember a guy came in with like a dozen clothespins on his fuel line. He swore up and down that he got like 50% more gas mileage. Now, there was an old tale about putting a clamp on your rubber fuel line (causing a small restriction)... But this guy had them on the METAL fuel line right next to the carb. :D

Don't forget cow magnets! ;)

With fuel costs on the rise it's no surprise to see the snake oil production rise once again.

I do have a question about Molybdenum Disulfide additives like "Mr Moly". I've seen people who race air-cooled engines swear by Moly, but I've always wondered what mechanics think of it.
