Yep. It's been repackaged and released as new news by a news agency as a "stem cell" story to inflame ignorant folks like the OP.

The original story more than a month ago simply mentioned it as a bone marrow transplant and told the same story otherwise.

Kinda funny, huh?

Are they still doing Stem cell research in the U.S?

there has been stem cell research in the US since the beginning. no federal dollars for it other than some certain lines during the shrub days, though.

That's all changing fast now that the Obama administration is in. Stem cell research is again going to be officially respectable in the USA. Of course, there are going to continue to be people dragging their feet, protesting, etc. C'est la vie.

Whatever dude. The US has been doing stem cell research even under the Bush administration. The only stem cell research that was not being federally funded was embryonic. Embryonic stem cell research was not even banned, it just did not get federal funding. You really do not under this subject so I think you should just keep your stupid mouth shut.

Stem cells come from bone marrow, so it always was a stem cell story. 🙂

The intention was to make it sound like it was some new radical therapy. Most people don't even know that a bone marrow transplant involves stem cells. The information was readily available that they used a bone marrow transplant as the procedure. It is certainly clear that they intended to deceive people about this treatment. It's called sensationalism. You just have to read the OP's post to see that.
