Does anyone know how much the Germans actually payed in reparations for their agressions during World War I? I think the sum was somewhere in the $20B Marks range of what they were 'supposed' to pay, but how much did they actually pay? or about how much?

Thx fellas.

in my hist. class my prof. cited 33billion owed, but no mention of how much was paid... that and blame for the war.

I know that inflation in Germany went totally ridiculously out of hand shortly after the war. People were being paid with wheelbarrows (of cash) so if any of that loan was based on a reasonable exchange with the German mark they sure would not have paid much of it back.
