German Windows question...

I've got a bit of a problem with a Compaq laptop someone has given me to 'fix' for them. It's new and they said they were having problems understanding what to do in the intstall. When it boots up it goes straight into the Win'95 install, but it's all in German (i'm not german BTW, and don't know how to speak it). Compaq helpdesk basically told me to feck off (they were only willing to send me another CD, but since it doesn't have a CD drive that solution was a bit pointless).

The only thing I can think of is if I continue down the installation (and keep selecting 'English', all the way. Will it eventually revert to english, or will it always be German?
