Because Hitler wasn't wrong about the Aryans being the best. Okay that was wrong to say. But thats the reasoning neo-nazi's have.

Actually they have just always been advanced technologically. Back in WW2 who invented the rocket? Germans. Who invented the nuclear bomb? German scientists who defected. Who invented the system to send audio of radio waves? A guy who was of German heritage.

Also in WW2 my grandfather told me about another little battle between the US and Germany, on the technology front. They would send stuff back and forth to show off what they could do. Well the US sent the germans a 1/128th inch drill bit, now that is tiny. What did the Germans respond by doing? They drilled a hole down the middle of it!

Germans have some nice chicks. The occasional nice car. They might have been technologically advanced back then but not so much anymore.

A few nice cars?? BMWs and Porsches are more than just a "few" nice cars. Not to mention Mercedes, Audi (?), etc...

RagingBITCH,

<< Germans have some nice chicks. >>

-Really? Haven't seen any and haven't heard of any ;)

Warrenton,

Nice story, funny :)

Maybe its because they were a loaner country and they had to work harder to be more advanced to stay alive in the WWs

toolchick is German?? Wow!

AlphaIVT: The Victoria Secret model, Heidi Klum is German I believe.

Anyway, back to the topic.
What amazes me is how fast the Germans (and the Japanese) were able to built their country to what they are right now. They were devastated to the ground on WWII. Only took them 50 years to become one of the major industrial countries in the world.

America might be the biggest industrial country, but that's based over hundreds years of development.

After WWII, the allies (specifically the United States) gave a lot of money so that Japan and (West) Germany could rebuild. They did not want to make the mistake of letting angry and vengeful populations brood as was the case in the post-WWI era. The Treaty of Versaille was a punitive treaty which DID NOT work and the idea to rebuild the defeated nations seems to have worked nicely (now, for the most part, they are friends).

Ah, Handle, the US did not give a lot of money to Germany & Japan after WWII. The Marshal plan meant they got quite a bit of credit from the US, plus they were given conditional aid. What that meant is that they could only spend the aid on US products, actually its because of that linked aid to so much of the world, that the US was able to pump prime itself out of the post war recession, that almost cost Trumen his presidentsy. Because all that billions in aid was being spent in the US.

I heard of another story how the US made a micronized toy car EXTREMELY SMALL, and what did the Germans do? Build a working engine for it. HEH
