I bet more pet maulings can be attributed to Pit Bulls and when they bite humans it's a lot more truamatic but there are more people bitten by Sheperds. Maybe that's because there are more German Sheperds owned as pets compared to Pit Bulls.

My dog? The last dog I had died of cancer. It's been 15 years since I owned a dog.

Mine doesn't have much of a problem with the Jewish race. She seems to concentrate her hatred mostly on the blacks. Guess thats what I get for having a white german shepherd.

My GSD is awesome. However, I wouldn't recommend a pure-bred dog to anyone because (they are actually in-bred) of the likelyhood of congenital/hereditary problems. US bred GSD's are not of as good quality as those from Deutschland, generally speaking. The AKC, who kind of certifies and judges dogs, only looks at the dogs hair color and its overall body shape. In Germany they have thier own standards that include x-rays of the trouble prone hips of the dog and some behavioral/intelligence tests.

The smartest dogs on earth are border collies. Both GSDs and Border Collies need to have a job, if they don't they will find one themselves and it may include destroying things you don't want destroyed.

EDIT: Get yourself a good mixed breed farm dog that has had some natural selection applied to its recent ancestors. they are the best.
