Hey Everyone,

I am having a small problem. I work for a multi-national corporation, one of our sister companies resides in Heilbronn Germany. We recently took in a German intern and set him up with a workstation. Hes translating some of our newer brochures and pamphlets into German. Problem is, we here use Microsoft Office 2000 premium. I do a full install, and choose to "run all programs from this machine" when installing, so that I am sure that everything that need to be installed, is installed on the first try. Our German intern wants to spellcheck what hes doing in Microsoft word, but gets the error "Word cannot find the grammar file MSGR2GE.DLL or MSGRGE32.DLL for German (Germany)." Is there a German Language pack for Office 2000 that I may be missing here? I have checked Microsofts website, and have found nothing for Office 2000 ....am I missing something here?

All help is appreciated.
Thanks!

The full Office install should have installed the files for any languages that were actually included with your version of Office (most versions do NOT have all languages included, even if they are listed as options), but since it didn't, you can get any files you are missing from this site. Click on Systemfile-Center on the left, select DLL-Files from the list, choose the first letter of the file(s) you are missing, then scroll to find and download the individual files.

Specifically, you can get MSGR2GE.DLL from here and MSGRGE32.DLL from here.

EDIT: If you cannot get it to work by copying those files into the same location where your other Office .DLL files are stored, then you may have to purchase the German Language proofing tools from Microsoft (or a third party) in order to make it work properly.
