It was a Saturday Night Live skit in the 80's or 90's, and Dana Carvey played Tom Browkaw. He was going on vacation, so he was recording hypothetical newsclips of what might happen when he was out. He had to do the death of President Ford several times. The producer had him redo it and add Ford's age, 83. Then he said, "Do it over and add the word senseless" (meaning the death was senseless), but Browkaw said, "Gerald Ford Dead today at the senseless age of 83."

Hope that clears everything up for the confused people who haven't seen SNL before 1997.

I'm surprised that I have never seen this SNL sketch. I thought I'd seen them all.

ahhh man....millennium, should've let the thread die so you can re-create it again in a couple of months and everyone get all frantic again. btw, my favorite post was the one where you said he was eaten by wolves, and reuters reports he wad delicious. you made that the 1st post, and i was dying from laughter. one of the better snl skits.

Oh come on, Gerald Ford isn't going to be eaten by wolves.
Taft was.
Really? Taft?
