Gotta agree with Red Dawn. There's nothing worse than having a party when everybody there is white (btw, I'm white).

When I take my family to a get together/party/recpeption/special occasion with my side of the family (all white), it's a real ho-hum affair. When we go to a party/etc. with my wife's side of the family (Hispanic), it rocks! Music, dancing, people intermingling, young and old playing games, lots of respect shown to elders and people just genuinely caring about each other.

Give me a "mixed" party anytime.

You all do realize that the students had wanted the separate proms until this year, when the student body voted to combine them for the first time. It was racist only in that the black students wanted it separate as well as the white student population.........was nothing "forced" upon them at all. It was revoted upon each year.
