I agree with this. In a democracy the perception of fairness should be equally important to the fairness. He should have recused himself a while ago.. But Republicans care little about perceptions.
Mein Kempf won't recuse himself though, that would risk making the election fair.

Democrats need to blast this out as a campaign message to mobilize the black vote.

"Republicans are trying block your vote" "Republicans are trying to take away your rights"

Point out the pattern and practice by the GOP nationwide.

It's 21 minutes long and a cross post from another thread. I guess this thread is about voter suppression and the other is about the Secretary of State of Georgia so you can stop at about 14 minutes.

http://www.msnbc.com/rachel-maddow/...rgia-s-election-system-1343345731870?v=raila&

Highlights
1) Dumb ass Sec of State refuses to listen to DHS and FBI warnings and says he doesn't think Russians will try to compromise Georgia election systems.
2) Subsequently, it is pointed out that ANYONE has open access to voter data (including PII) and that registration information can easily be modified by almost anyone.
3) It turns out that the Russians specifically attacked a handful of states. Georgia being one of them.
4) After someone sues the state, they admit that systems had been wiped clean, preventing any forensic data from being collected.(Question: Is it only bad if evil Hillary wipes emails out, but a-okay if someone does it to hide evidence of possible collusion or negligence?).

Specifically pertaining to controlling vote outcomes, it's almost as if some states are intentionally leaving the doors open for someone else to affect election results for them. I mean if you borrow your neighbors lawn mower and leave it on the front lawn and someone takes it, it's not your fault right? Especially if that someone is going to give you a great deal on lawn services. To take it further, you still don't think it was your fault even after the police had stopped by and told you to lock it in the garage because there were thieves looking to steal lawn mowers.

So through either traitorous activity or willful negligence, Georgia suffered a breach in it's election systems and then got rid of evidence. The same guy then purges voter records based on some scheme he made up to match names. He is told he can't do it. He then figures a way to do it anyways. Ta-Da! Voter suppression.

I love that the "voter fraud" crowd goes on and on about asinine scenarios about what could happen and never consider the possibility that something that actually occurred can happen again.

It's almost as if their concerns about voter fraud are not genuine.

This is actually an old Republican tactic. In the days of the Voting Rights Act, they used to get caught at this on a regular basis. It used to be called caging. They never change their spots.

Just because something hasnt happened on a large scale doesnt mean it cant. What dont you understand about that?

Nevermind. Youre more of the reactive type. Fix it AFTER its a problem.
I bet climate change deniers really get your panties in a bunch too...
