Go to his website and click on the "about a Feast of Crows" update link below his picture. He sounds a little more calm now. He says he hopes to be finished with his book by years end. Of course there is a BIG chance that wont happen but its impressive considering that is only 6 weeks away he must feel like he is getting close. Good!

On another note - I would love to get his email address. Anyone have it or know it? I wanted to email him after his last update but couldnt find out how to send it. Thanks!

I am close to giving up on him. I don't want any artist to rush out a piece, however this guy has been pushing back the deadlines for literally years. I, and perhaps many others, am losing motivation to read the new book when it comes out.

Same here but I'm still going to wet myself when it does come out and I read it.

Although I am dissapointed at the delays, there is no way I am losing motivation to read his series. I thought the first 3 books were fantastic and I will be first in line when the next one is released.

Better late than never, and it would be a sacrilege to stop the series at the 3rd book.

I read the first one and loved it. By the time the 2nd one was out, I pretty much forgot everything that happened in the first one. I decided to just wait till all the books are out and then I'll read the series then.

Reminds me of Valve software... CS: Condition Zero and/or Half-Life 2 anyone?
Actually, that reminds me of Blizzard software.

Well, nonetheless, I'll buy Martin's book on day one of it's release. I'm eagerly awaiting it.

Amazon had it listed for RELEASE at year's end, at the same time as Turtledove's Homeward Bound (epilogue to World War> and Colonization series). At least now I won't have to choose between them.

EDIT: Does anyone have a link to his original letter? I can't seem to find it (am I half-blind? :)).
