Ok..I got one. Now what do I do with it? I need some recipe ideas for the George Forman Super Duper Grilling Machine.

We have 2 of them (the small one and the big one). Make burgers, that is what they are great for! You can cook a decent burger in about 5-7 mins.

There should be some in the booklet, no? If not, go to any search engine and search fot "george foreman grill recipe" or something, there are tons.

Personally, I just use it as a regular grill. Pork chops and fish come out pretty well. Burgers and steak are OK but they are missing the smoky "grilled" flavor. I've also used it to cook bacon (lots of fat runoff) and grilled sandwiches. It's really a handy item.

I use this thing for over a year now also. I have the first small one and the open grill which is larger.

I only use it for meat and as long as meat isn't so thick it can't close I find it cooks it fine. Great for hamburgers. Only thing that I cannot get around is if you use a marinade its so hot it will crust that over on the outside rather than like a barbecue.

And I got the big round one because its got more space and for example on july 4th were having all the family over where some want chicken or meat and I can seperate the stuff. I think it will be a little slower since its one side but I like the nonstick stuff.

Grilled peanut butter & jelly sandwiches

Ill have to try that. I haven't had a PBJ in probably 10 years.

I use those type of grills for fish (salmon, halibut, etc). Does a good job, use some curry cous cous for a side dish, and you have a meal that takes 12 minutes to prepare.

Grilled PBJ is excellent...

I know peanuts are quite flammable (well, the oil is), I wonder if they'd ever spontaneously combust on the grill....

*MrBond runs off to try it

Just eat 5 or 6 fried peanut butter-'n'-banana sandwiches a day, pretty soon you'll have the body of Elvis (that was his favorite sandwich)!
*Old* Elvis, that is! ;)

Unlike one of those regular grills where the fat just drops down below into the flames???

I use mine to cook hamburgers, hotdogs, and bratwurst when I don't want to go outside.

I LOVE Ball Park hotdogs in em...and if you let chicken soak in Dinosaur BBQ "Sensous Slathering Sauce" they come out AWESOME. I dont care for burgers and steak in it, but everything else is great. Bacon comes out very good too.

i dunno about cutting fat... if you fry a burger most of it comes out anyway and sits in the pan... i guess the bottom doesn't have as much fat in it...

fresh chicken is the best thing i've found for it. 5 or 6 minutes, put some powdered spice on there of some sort (fajita seasoning!) get some yellow rice, mmm good. liquid marinades do usually burn on whatever meat, i don't like that much. but still tastes good!

I cook almost everything on my GF grill. Hamburgers, pork chops, bacon, bologna, steak, chicken, you name it. Just treat it as a super fast lean mean grilling machine!

I've been thinking about getting one of these, how well do they clean? The only reason i don't cook is because I'm too damn lazy to clean...heh.

The Foreman Grill is SOOO simple to clean...simply scrub it down while it's still relatively hot.

Man I only WISH I could have had something like the GF grill as a student...compact, quick and easy to clean! Then again...will you be able to afford chicken and hamburger on a college student budget (it might be hard to cook Ramen noodles and Mac & Cheese on it);)!

<< It's all about ham and cheese sandwiches galore! >>

Yum...thanks for giving me another grill idea! :D I've been doing the healthy thing by cooking chicken breasts and lean pork on it all the time.
