George Foreman grill > *

I was hungry today, but didn't want to waste money on eating out. We had chicken in the fridge, unthawed chicken breasts, but I didn't know how to cook them. Then I remembered that my mom had a George Foreman grill. So I plugged that in, let it heat up, sprayed some Pam on it, stuck a piece of chicken on it for like 8 minutes, and let it cook. When it was done it looked just like the picture! Added some honey mustard suace, salt, and pepper, and I'm cooking up some brown rice to go with it. Tastes pretty dang good for no effort!

hahaha, props to George Foreman!

whoa, the rice has no flavor. all I did was follow the instructions and add a cup of water and a cup of rice. turned out good, but no flavor. how do you add flavor to rice?

Put veggies on it.

use some broth (chicken or beef stock) instead of water when cooking rice

yah I was just talking to my mom, she said chicken broth works well, plus some salt and butter. I know what I'm doing for lunch tomorrow! 😉

hmm, there's an idea. I think I have some frozen veggies in the freezer. I'll add those tomorrow too. thanks!

We have a small one at work and I've thrown a few ribeyes on it for lunch from time to time. It's been awhile but they sure were good. I want to get one for my home.

I could only imagine the choas if I tried to cook steaks at work. People would be rushing in the breakroom. There would be much envy.

Hahha. Naw, there's probably like 20 people in this building and we're all friendly with each other and used to people cooking stuff in there. The only bad thing is I sit right next to the kitchen area and if I skip lunch I have the scent of food wafting into my office torturing me. 🙁

That's a sin, Ribeyes deserve a real grill

LOL. I can't very well fire up a real grill in the parking lot! Regardless they were so darn good. I haven't had lunch today so I need to stop reminiscing about those steaks...** DROOL **

Yes, the grill is great. I actually ate chicken cooked on one last night, and it was tasty and juicy.

But they suck to clean.
