George Carlin Politics - BS or do you agree?

What do you think about George Carlin when he talks politics? Or how about when he makes statements about spoiled, greedy upper class white males? Slamming religions? Does a small part of you think he's right? Or do you remember that he's just an entertainer and discount his statements as jokes? 🙂
 
He may believe what he's saying or not, but the bottom line is he's doing what he feels will make people laugh. That's what made him a rich white male, like the ones he criticizes.

I just heard him 5 minutes ago on XM radio...he was talkin bout gettin' all the big, hairy, brutish alpha-male pig types into a 24 hour slugfest...where they all beat each other to death...then the last one standing would be put on a pedestal and shot.

I think Carlin got beat up a lot as a kid...

yes; he can be asshatted on some things, though, but I agree with his right to say even what I don't agree with.

 
he started off as a stiff as a board boring generic white comic, and turned bitter before it was kewl...s o yea he probablye believes what he says for the most part.
 
People are really just big dumb animals. He sheds light on that fact, and yes... it's funny.

People take themselves too seriously if they can't find humor in daily life.

Ah but he got rich making people laugh, so its 'different' for him. He isn't 'one of those' rich white males.

Just like those environmentalists who live in homes built from timbered forests and drive SUVs. They can do that because they're "Very Important People", whereas you and I are just peasants who can eat cake. 😉
 
its amazing how well his humor has aged though. other really old comics.. really just seem corny with their slapstick humor.
