Damn, I was talking about him with my son just yesterday. We were talking about Favre and he asked who the oldest player ever in the NFL was. He was one of my favorite players growing up because I always wondered how much longer he'd last.

I don't know who he was either, and i don't know what the Raiders is either but since he's a "kicker" i suppose it's a kickboxing club or something.

(I'm half joking, i get that he was a kevlar rugby player and i've heard of the Raiders (though if you told me they are the Alabama Raiders and someone else said NJ Raiders i wouldn't know who to believe because i would not know, never heard about the guy either, but that goes for pretty much ALL kevlar rugby stars)

Why do people who do not know who the dead person is post "Who?" or something similar in threads like these?

I am willing to bet that 100% of the dead people can be found on the Google, probably with the first result being a short obit explaining who the person was.

Are people really that proud of their ignorance?

I had to take DesiPower to task for his statement because he's located in Texas, where George Blanda had great success, aside from the fact that he was an American sports icon.

Wait, wait, wait, wait and slow down for a second there... sports icon?

There is only one sport in the world and that sport is hockey, the rest are games.

George Blanda would have kicked your ass at hockey, too (probably right up to yesterday).
