Geometry problems with a monitor

Okay, so I checked all the reviews on the web and bought an HP P1120 monitor. Everyone raved about the great geometry, so I was a little surprised to see that mine was having geometry problems. Straight lines just aren't friggin' straight, which is >really< annoying with a FD monitor. Talked to one of my roommate's and he said it might be something as simple as adjusting some pots inside. (It was something he had to do in the past at the shop he worked at). I tested the monitor in different parts of my house, so unless there's some weird magnetic disturbance affected the >entire< house, magnetic distortion shouldn't be the cause (I could be wrong, though).

So, has anyone had any experiences with getting something like this repaired? The place I bought it from offered to take it back, but couldn't do an exchange. I'm pretty happy with everything else with the monitor. Thanks in advance.
