Geographic trace

I'm currently in Iraq and I've just slipped onto a satellite connection. I'm wondering if there is a website/util that I can use to find out where my connection gets down to Earth at. Basically so I can download from the closets mirror, using the old American servers just isnt the same on the other side of the world.

Do a google for visualroute. They have a web based trace route applet that will trace your connection to their servers in Virginia. I don't know if it will help you figure out where it comes back to earth, but it's worth a shot.

They require you to register to use it though..but it's free and I have never received any spam mail from them since I've registered.

Thanks, looks like hop 2/3 of all my traces wound up in Englewood, CO. Sounds good to me, crazy satellites. Thanks.
