Geoforce overclocking warranty effect

Most video card manufacturers will not warranty overclocking, Asus may be an exception, how easy is it to burn card and are there ways to change setting after card is burned. I am buying machine through a clone shop which also offers a warranty. debating bertwenn gf 3 ti200 than overclocking in a year time.
 
I'm guessing since the overclocking of Video Cards is done trough the software it would be very difficult for them to find out if you overclocked it, although you can always act stupid 🙂. But I think with fearly good coolling on bot RAM and GPU you should be fine not to burn it up to 20%-25% overclock. I wouldn't go much higher though, cuz your geting into the forbiden lands then 🙂
