is there ANY way possible that you can set these stats to update more than just once a day? there are NO up to date dpad stats sites out there and its extremely frustrating for a stats geek like myself!

Well, Stephen's damn rawstats.txt have gone cold again so there's nothing GeoffS can do about it!! What stats are there to be created if Stephen is unable to maintain his freaking site!! :| This is really starting to piss me off. GeoffS does everything he can to provide a stats page, Borg is giving daily and weekly stats and what does Stephen do???

I've already "ranted" about this in Stephen's forum. I think that he's not improving the trust ppl have in his project at all! When Borg convinced me to join, my main concern was not to spend my crunching power on a provate, garage PC based project. But it looks like DPAD is more and more becoming like this due to Stephen's lack of fixing his problems!!! I'm so freaking sure that babbage (1200 PCs) would have joined DPAD if not all these problems would be persistent!

No send with firewall and winXP for lots of ppl, stats files down, whole dpad site down, Stephen's only able to access his stuff during the week and not on the weekend, corrupted archives ... :|

I sure hope that Stephen's going to fix all these issues pretty soon or DPAD will definitly go down the drain ...

more ranting...No linux client...not giving a damn if an entire team leaves because of this [AVE]...just waved them goodbye...:(

and If that rawstats file doesn't update soon, no stats from me for tomorrow! :(

Dude... I'm doing what I can... writing the stats are a hobby, not a living... sorry if my not getting it done faster is putting a dent in your life.

And now we have two days of bad data on our graphs

You too....

In the meantime, I have been busy with the stats and helping out Confused with some of his coding.

i wasnt trying to criticize you bro, im sorry if i came off that way. i was asking if the stats could be updated more often and the second part of my statement wasnt directed at you, it was a general statement at the lack of stats sites that update more than once every couple of hours. i appreciate your hard work for sure and was in no way meaning to criticize you. i sincerely appologize for my lack of wording, i would in no way criticize a fellow TeAm member publically or privately at any point when they are doing a ton more for the TeAm than i will at any point! my sincerest appologies :(

Before we (intentionally or otherwise) stomp on Geoff... or Stephen for that matter, we should consider that much of this has been neither of their fault.

Obviously as geeks - we understand the concept of GIGO.

Geoff's stats are only as good as the source data - (although his coding ROCKS) ;)
Stephen's stats are only as good as the host's reliability (which has been shaky lately)

Neither of these circumstances cast a pall on the project. Yes... we ALL love our stats, but to get one's bowels into an over-abundant uproar over circumstances under which none of us have any control is counterproductive at best. Ergo... we'll need to "suck it up" a bit until the rocky times are over. It's going to even out. :)

Geoff - Thank you again for your DYNAMITE work! I orginally started this thread during a moment when Stephen's were up - but TA's were down. It looked like something that was probably minor, and might have been simply overlooked -- and I was trying to call your attention to it. As you can see from the second post, just moments later... your stats were up -- although the source data was a bit "iffy."

Sorry to have inadvertently stirred any pot - I likely should have used the little-known "PM" function rather than posting about it.
