Geocaching

Well a couple of friends of mine and I were out at a local National Park (Iargo Springs) and as we were climbing some hills, Kyle put his hand in a tree to pull himself up and he found a barrel, filled with random things such as flashlight, headphones, etc. Inside was instructions about a Worldwide game and this was involved in it. It seemed really interesting and there was about 8 other logs (entries of people that found it) for that barrel that we had. So I was just wondering if anyone else has ever heard of this, and to see if anyone was interested in doing these "hunts", then go to the link and find some near you.

I've heard of it, but never done it. I get enough interaction with technology at work, and if I'm going on a hike I don't want to have a GPS. But it seems like a nice pastime, especially for a family activity.

Yea its tons of fun to go walking around, though darn GPS, always off by 4-5 meters. Always end up taking wild guesses around the approx area.

I think that is what made it so interesting, not many people know about. There are over 50,000 in 174? countries I think it said. And it would make for a interesting trip for when you have nothing planned.
