I'd be interested to try some. Looks to be the perfect combination of "instant on" of traditional filament bulbs and the energy savings of CFL's.

My hesitation would be the color of the lighting and their practical light output.

Ouch! $45 will take a while to recoup.

Based on a rough calculation, about 10,500 hours of run time to make up the cost difference.
(50W Incandescent VS 7.5W @ $0.10/hour)

Also, their spec sheet says it is equivalent to a 50W incandescent even though their optical distribution is slightly better.

It might be too dim for your application.

My boss remodeled his house and included LED lighting as part of it. If he didn't tell you, you'd never know they weren't incandescents. The light color was perfect, way better than CFLs.
