Gentlemen, the time has come, the time has come for...

You misspelled tyranny.

I want FIOS but hell will likely have to freeze over for me to get it here.

I wish i could get FIOS where i live.

Spent two years checking their website for availability. I get screwed for 45$ from comcrash every month for service that is down at least once a month for the WHOLE weekend, and extreme slowdowns because the whole gd neighborhood has it. I do not even want to talk about my cable TV Bills

Damn you!

That said, at least I have 2 cable providers to choose from here .... so I've got "wowway" rather than comcast, however, I require more bandwidth!

FiOS TV is available here June 1st, I will be hitting it.

Everything is hooked up and it is lightning fast...time to go try out some Linux ISO downloads.

Everything went smoothly, vonage stills works, I now have a wireless router they gave me, and the guy was really nice, not some fat guy that Comcast subcontracted out to me on that made me do the work (like climbing up in my crawspace in my garage to run the wire because the guy was too fat to fit, once again Comcast sucks).

Speedtest shows 22025 down and 5053 up.
😀

FREEDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!

FiOS is being installed as we speak. Will Update later. 😀

It's been at least two months since they put the lines in around my neighborhood, and it's still not *available* to me. Don't know what the heck the delay is, either. I wish you better luck.

hmm that's weird, I saw the lines go in after I found out it was available. What made me finally call yesterday (that's right they came out the next day!!!!! not 60 weeks later like comsucks) is Comcast had one of it's "We are down for maintenance, we will not let you speak with a rep because we are down with maintenance, that is the problem stop calling us, we will have it back up whenever" moements.

same 🙁

really want FIOS! Comcrap started this new thing called Service Protection Plan or something like that. Costs $2 extra per billing cycle. If you dont have that, they charge you $24.70 everytime something goes wrong that requires them to send out a tech to your house (when rep cant help me over the phone). You get charged as soon as you put in the request for the tech to come over. Tech comes over and if he decides that its a problem with their equipment (the cable box or something outside of the house) then you get the $24.70 refunded back to you. Its not considered their fault if a wire inside your house that they provided goes bad. Comcrap FTL

Thank god they decided to go and hit the heart of Comcast country (near philly) so I have it so soon. 😀

You'll love FIOS. In my area, they offer TV, Internet (20/5), and Phone for $95 for a year (special promotion, doesn't include STBs or taxes). After that, standard rates apply but what a deal in the meantime.

If you haven't, call. Do not pay attention to the website. It wasn't updated on the website until months after it was available here.
