GENPETS- human/animal hybrid PETS??!??! FOR REAL??!?!

My friend just gave me a link to this site: http://www.genpets.com/index.php

Supposedly, these guys (genpets makers) claim to have created a living pet that comes pre-packaged and in a hibernating stage, from which one can open up and play w/ and discard w/ at their pleasure. Seemingly, it's a toy, but not really: the "toy" in fact is actually living, breathing...

What are your guys' opinions on this? Is this real? etc. etc.

 
Hahaha...I like the picture on the front page of the kid hugging the package with the "GenPet" in it. I think my kid would be freaked out by that mutant looking thing.
 
Fake! There's a link somewhere to the creator's portfolio and he talks about how he created the GenPets out of clay and blah blah.
 
All of the stuff they cited in that website has absolutely nothing to do with the bioengineering they speak of. It's so patently absurd, it's humorous.

Yes, I obviously realize now that I "do know," after I saw the creator's portfolio (I made a post about that later on, perhaps you should get a better context of why I said what I said; then, you'll sound 12+ 🙂 )
