Genome@home update - DPC catching up fast

G@H'ers,

After bragging so arrogantly about wiping out the Dutch Power Cows in Genome@home, our chickens are coming home to roost. We, Team_AanadTech, currently stand at rank 30, with 41K work units and 1958 genes. This is great. Congrats to all participants. In the past month we've come up from rank 34 with 23K WU's.

BUT, in that time the DPC have pulled up from rank 60 with 8600 WU's to rank 34 with 35K WU's. This is an imminent disaster! At this rate they will overtake us in a few days.

They've got over 50 participants, to our 31. (Some of these on both sides are, of course, inactive.) So, the only way to avoid this unbearable embarrassment is to get some new members - and to activate some of those old ones! If you care about our prestige in the larger world of DC, put some cycles on Genome@home.

We are catching up quite nicely 🙂 I've plotted our progress into this little graph here. The gap is now around 6500 units, so we are looking at 2 to 4 weeks to change positions as hunter and hunted 😀.

Dutchman - your ravaging hoards may overtake our small but valiant band. However, you personally with your measly 2800 WU's will have a formidable time even appoaching my 10K. Put that data on your graphs and plot it. 😀 When you've achieved top 200 status I'll begin to quake in my boots! :Q

hmm, I'm not keeping TA memberss personal score in the database. I could, it might be fun. Anyhow, with my two computer massive power I can beat anyone cracking genome@home (once I can figure out how to send them back in time and have them crack with -nonet for a couple of 100 years 😀)

Well why don't start keeping personal data for the 20K users on G@H? That might be fun - you can get your DPC pals to help. Make a DC project of it. That should burn up a few of your extra cycles!
