my first post so be easy:eek:) Guys i just saw the video in the native langange and its extremely disturbing to watch. Many of you probably dont care but these people were recruited by the US to fight against the spread of communist in Lao. The communist goverment that took power in 1975 have been killed these people with anything they have including chemical and biological agent possibly from Russian and the world has been silenced about this. The situation of these former CIA soldier and their family is extremely urgent. Anyone has suggestion on where i can contact to get the word out to the US goverment and EU about this. If the world really cares about biological and chemical being used against other human being they should listen and act. Here is the link of the site http://www.factfinding.org/

Sad to say, but unless there's a national interest (primarily security and business), your plea would fall to deaf ears.

War is war, and often times people are needlessly killed in the most horrible of ways. It's sad that this kind of thing is still happening when other aspects of human life are improving exponentially (well I think it is). I can't remember where I got this quote, but it goes something like this: "War...war never changes...."

Jeez I sound happy, don't I? :frown:

"Sad to say, but unless there's a national interest (primarily security and business), your plea would fall to deaf ears. Text"

It has been like that for the last 26 years i don't see how that would change but at least history will saying that the world know and did nothing just like the jew in europe, kurds of iraq, bosnia, rawanda, combodia..etc..What is all this talk about search for chemical and biological agent in iraq when these kinds of chemical agent are being use right now in Laos..This can only mean that oil and money is the reason for going to war with Iraq. THis whole talk of iraq having chemical and biological and the mean to use them is fine but why Iraq..why not the communist goverment of Lao that are using it now..Really this just prove that oil is the main reason for going to war..

probably because laos is not harboring/funding terrorists that have suicide bombed other parts of the world, like NY on 9-11.

The US, EU, or any other country of significance likely knows all about this, it's the media that needs to be goaded. Get them on the issue and maybe something will happen.

I suppose you could always go inform the UN. Perhaps they'll pass a resolution or something, and maybe even send over Hans Blix..

Yep, all you people calling for action to police Laos are just as bad as the communists themselves. Trust me, what's really needed here is for the UN to issue a piece of paper describing the situation in Laos as "unfortunate." That'll teach 'em. And maybe if the UN gets REALLY angry they will "strongly urge" the cessation of this genocide. No totalitarian regime could possibly withstand a verbal onslaught of that magnitude.

No doubt Libya, our newly crowned Champion of Human Rights, will take the lead in resolving this situation. *snicker*

The USA has a history of sitting bye while our indigenous Allies get slaughtered. We did it right after the Gulf War with the Kurds in Northern Iraq and the Shia in Southern Iraq.
