I just read Conn Iggulden's historical fiction series on Genghis Khan. It's epic. I brushed up on some quick Wiki stuff on Genghis and the Mongolian empire, and it's really interesting.
Hollywood needs to pick up on this and do a movie based on Iggulden's books.
Preferably someone from the western world should do this. I think it would be fascinating.
I know that sounds ignorant, but its the only sure fire way it expose us westerners to a good film series.
I saw "Mongol" after finally finding a copy of this, and it's too artsy and weird. Great costume, props and scenery, but the battles were almost laughable.
The chick that played Borte was hot.
Who can I petition to pick this up? lol.
There is so much potential badassery here.
