I believe some of the drones have some form of missle on them & this is what was used for the kill, not the drone itself!

That is correct. Currently more and more unmanned planes are being equiped with Hellfire (?) missiles.

yup they've been retrofited with hellfires, i think two gives em the ability to shoot at targets of opportunity i can't wait until the real ucavs arrive though, those will hold twice the payload of a f-16
