Hyundai copies lots of auto manufacturers. Take the Sonata for an example. Before the facelift, it looked A LOT like an Accord imo.

to be fair, the G37 is still actually better - edmunds even admits it. the Genesis wins on the combo of performance/price.

I really hope Genesis Coupe hit the market, and make G37 to go down. So I can buy G37 cheap. (lol) I just don't want to buy another Hyundai as a Korean who grew up looking thousands Hyundai cars every day for my first 18 years of life.

It was meant to look like the Accord. It also took the suspension from that generation Accord as well. Worked out quite well for Hyundai, I'd say. The 2006-newer Sonata is a great ride.

Genesis + used S2000 > G37.

When you're talking nearly $15,000 price difference for 95% of the car, I think the choice is obvious.

I'd take the 335 over g37 any days of the week, and for the price, the Genesis over the g37.

For the price point of that Genesis Coupe, I'd rather have a 370Z. And drop the extra $3k for the sports package.

True, but it will drop in resale quicker.

I am still a bit in shock over that torque reduction (read: our transmission sucks so the computer babies it) "feature" on the Genesis.

Lots of cars have that torque reduction crap, they just do a better/smoother job of it. Hell my 89 dodge caravan turbo limits the boost at lower rpms to limit torque or it did .

I like the 335 but I'd rather have a g37. Haven't driven the Hyundai so I can't make that decision.

Anyone who is buying a car like that can obviously throw in 7 grand more and get the Infiniti, you would be stupid not to. This is just like the Tiburon, a car that never gained any respect anywhere.

Its harder now that it use to be but I jumped from a Scion TC to a G35c, I'm sure that was more than $7k.

For the money now I'd go with a 370z, I never use the back seats anyway.

Wow what? I'd probably take an $30K Genesis over $44K G37, but you don't have to option the G37 up to 44K, you can get one for 36K if you don't add the navigation and all that other stuff that Hyundai didn't have, and you'd be driving an Infiniti instead of a Hyundai.
I can see the appeal of the 2.0T R-spec as a value proposition, but at $30K+, not really interested in a Hyundai.

In actuality, if I was gonna blow $30K on another car, it'll be an e46 M3, with the left over being put in a nice ESS twin-screw SC. And I'd still have left over after that's done.

I think they wrote the conclusion that Genesis is almost as good as G37 for 2/3rds the price first, then went out optioning a G37 to match that price
There is absolutely no reason to fully load a G37 only to complain about it being more expensive than a Hyundai that doesn't have those options.
