I have two PCs ...one of them has Crucial memory ...while the other one has 128 MB of generic stuff.... i wanted more memory for the PC that had the no brand 128 MB.... i went to price watch and saw the cheapest thing to be fpr around 27 shipped ( generic 256 MB ) ..says that it is compatible with only some specific motherboards.... if my motherboard is not listed then is there a chance that it would work with my mobo...one more Q's i never heard of motherboard specific RAM ... what is that s***

It probably means that specific motherboards (mobos) use specific types of ram (ie: DDR ram, Rambus ram). Most generic SDRAM modules will work with most, if not all, mobos that support SDRAM, and I haven't come across a mobo that doesn't, unless it only has sockets for the above mentioned specific ram. Hope that clears things up, if not, ask away.

is it generic pc 100 or pc 133. make sure you get the same thing.

Alot of websites will tell you that ram only works with certain mobo cause they want you to double check what you really need to you don't return it.
