Generic or name brand flash memory?

Im in the market for compactflash memory for my digital camera.

ive noticed that there are sometimes a significant price difference between generic compactflash memory and name brand (ie sandisk, etc) memory.

my question is: Are there any differences between "generic house brand" memory and Name brand memory?

Back to the issue, just make sure you don't have compatability issues with your camera (or whatever device) and you should be ok with generic. The more expensive name brand is quicker if you like to take many back-to-back pictures.
