Generic INK = Ok Photo Prints?

I have an Epson 880 Stylus Color, Generic ink carts are extremely cheap...how will these cheap ink carts effect printing photos? Or should i stick with epson brand ink carts for printing photos

Unless you use some of the new inks, colors on a printed photo will fade pretty fast. A generic ink may or may not fade faster. I would be more concerned about clogged heads with cheap generic inks. With a HP printer, every time you change a cartridge you get a new head too (unless you buy a used generic re-fill) With a Epson the only way to replace a head if it clogs is to send the whole printer to the factory. Your call, but no whining allowed if your heads clog or your photos fade if you decide to go cheap.

Got the printer for 40 bucks refurbed...the inks are about 2.50 and 4.50 for black and color... i dont think ill go kill myself if the heads clogged... on another note..for the photo prints, if they were in a frame or in a photo album, would it then fade much slower?
