I just got one 2 days ago for $79 from HD. It can run up to 35K RPM and has a saw attachment along with your usual company of attachments. Tried using it to cut a thick nail but the thing was shooting so many sparks that I thought my house would catch fire. 🙂

Sparks are normal. Don't push too hard depending on the make/model, use the speed to your advantage.

Mine too.
I don't use it all that much, but I've had it for probably 20+ years now.

Battery powered >> 115V AC

Till your in the middle of something and the battery dies.

115 > battery powered 😉

Out of curiosity, are the prices for Dremel & Craftsman bits the same, or does one company charge a premium over the other?

use the speed, but you could also be running too high. You might just be grinding away at the tool, and not the nail.

Can you use those bit kits they sell at Costco? They have a huge package of bits what look to be for rotary tools..
