Does the AMD Athlon 64 3000+(ADA3000BIBOX) with the Winchester core produce less heat than the AMD Athlon 64 3000+(ADA3000BPBOX) with the Venice core?
Iam not interested in overclocking.

Winchester is ever so slightly cooler then Venice

Yeah exactly.

Winchester was an improvment over newcastle. But expect AMD chips of the future to put out more heat. Higher clocks and more pipelines webber said a few months back, but that wont be for a few years yet.
