Generally speaking, what do you prefer? Lower rez+AA or higher and less or no AA

Playing BF2 and trying to figure out the best settings for me. I like 1600x1200, but gets a bit choppy in a heavy firefight.. so now I'm playing with 1024 and 1280 and different AA levels.

What do you prefer?

i usually go with 1280 and 2xaa

Used to prefer the eye candy over the reso, but now that I have a 12x10 native LCD I have to turn it down to push games in that reso on my 9800p... Good excuse for an upgrade at least

ive got SLI, 1600x1200 8AA and AF....

but i usually turn off al the details when playing in a match ect...it makes it much easier to see things and with bland enviroments i believe your reaction time is better...
